It’s fair to say that fashion, from its hemlines and silhouettes to its colourways and cuts, is an ever-changing entity. Case in point: This season, after the midi skirt’s long-held reign, the miniskirt made its storming return to the runways of London, Milan, Paris and New York. Riding on the back of the noughties resurgence, floor-skimming hemlines were replaced with thigh-grazing minis in a variety of guises. Some call it fickle, but I like to think of it as keeping things fresh.
Style Notes: Bring a ’60s edge to your miniskirt with a statement cropped jacket (this is an old one from Saks Potts) and an organza blouse. Throwback perfection.
