For this reason, the brand really stands out when it comes to event dressing. It might have a reputation for festival outfits, but I find that its party selection is just as strong. One of the best party items I’ve ever bought is an emerald-green velvet blazer, and Free People has a beautiful double-breasted style in a rich green. I love the silver satin trousers and the sequin high-necked tops, which can be toned down with more simple, classic items.

Free People also has the best selection of hair accessories and jewellery. Its bows, beaded hair clips and crystal earrings are an easy way to transform your day look into more of a party vibe. Our team is also loving party tights this year, and the sparkly tights and platform Mary Janes are the perfect double act.
